also many health benefits of blueberries. These powerhouses of antioxidants can
add a lot of nutrients to your smoothies. Blueberries contain certain
phytochemicals that keep the cells healthy and prevent damage. Apart from these
they also have fiber, minerals and vitamins that give you a healthy body.

a yummy taste, the calorie content in blueberries is low. So we have more than a
reason to indulge in a delicious blueberry smoothie. So lets take a look on how
to make a blueberry smoothie.

Easy Steps to Make Blueberry
Smoothies

To make the menu a little more interesting, we have compiled
three recipes of blueberry smoothies. Now you have a variety to choose from,
depending on the ingredients. Don't worry, each of these recipes are extremely
easy. With all the ingredients available, you can blend a smoothie for two, in a
couple of minutes.

▶ Blueberry and Yogurt Smoothie
This is a simple
recipe and the most basic with the least ingredients. Perfect for a quick
evening drink, when hunger knocks!

Ingredients :-

Frozen
blueberries - 1 cup
Flavored yogurt - ½ cup
Milk - 1 cup
Sugar/ Honey -
1 tbsp (or as required)

Procedure:
Simply tumble the berries and all
the other ingredients in the blender. Blend until the consistency is just smooth
and creamy. Pour in a glass, if you add some ice cubes, to make a chilling
drink. For a dollop of sinful taste, you can also add some whipped cream on
top!

▶ Blueberry Banana Smoothie
Looking for easy ways on how to make
a blueberry smoothie without yogurt? The following recipe is just the right pick
for a no yogurt smoothie with blueberries.

Ingredients :

Wild
blueberries - ¾ cup
Sliced Banana - ¼ cup
Honey/ sugar - ½ tbsp
Ice
cubes - 2 (optional)

Procedure:
Put all the ingredients in the blender
and run it on high speed till smooth. This may have a thick consistency, but we
already have ice cubes in the mixture, that should give a slightly thin
consistency. But if you do not want ice in the smoothie, you can add a few
spoonfuls of soy milk or regular milk, to get a good texture.

▶ Blueberry
and Orange Punch Smoothie
To add more zing and flavor to your smoothie, let
us combine some more healthy yet yummy ingredients to the recipe. A little with
orange and lime juice is suggested in this smoothie recipe.

Ingredients
:

Blueberries - 1 cup
Flavored yogurt (vanilla or even berry yogurt) -
½ cup
Orange/Apple juice - 2 tbsp
Vanilla extract - ½ teaspoon
Ice
cubes - 2 to 3
lemon juice - ½ tbsp (optional)

Procedure:
Dump all
the ingredients in the blender. Run the blender till desired consistency and
serve in a glass with a lemon or orange slice fixed on the edge!

These
were some quick and easy ways to make a blueberry smoothie. You can also make
blueberry punch with blending strawberries and peaches, and other fruits with
blueberries. Once you learn to balance the taste with different ingredients, you
can easily experiment with blueberry smoothies. Everyday ingredients like fresh
cream, yogurt, juices and even soy milk can be added to make a yummy delight! So
blend a few berries with power packed ingredients and make a delicious and
nutritious smoothie to sip on!
